12+ Months Before the Wedding

Start Planning

  • Set a wedding budget

  • Create a rough guest list

  • Hire a wedding planner (if using one)

  • Choose a date (or a few options)

  • Book your ceremony and reception venues

  • Decide on your wedding style/theme (formal, rustic, beach, etc.)

  • Create a wedding website





10–12 Months Before

Lock in Vendors

  • Book your photographer and videographer

  • Research and book your caterer (if not included with venue)

  • Book entertainment (DJ or band)

  • Shop for your wedding dress and schedule fittings

  • Reserve hotel blocks for guests

  • Launch your wedding website & share save-the-dates (if ready)



8–10 Months Before

Start Designing the Day

  • Choose bridal party and notify them

  • Begin shopping for bridesmaid dresses & groomsmen attire

  • Book your officiant

  • Start planning honeymoon

  • Schedule engagement photo session

  • Browse and choose florist, begin discussing ideas




6–8 Months Before

Make It Official

  • Finalize guest list
